About the Association

The Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting the interests of the residents and property owners within the district and the quality of the lake. We also aim to provide a platform for residents to engage, collaborate, and build a stronger community.

IMPORTANT UPDATE

Eurasian Milfoil Control on Friends Lake

July 2024, Eurasian milfoil was was been detected in Friends Lake. We are taking immediate steps to address the situation. This invasive species can negatively affect water quality, native plant life, and recreational activities. We ask all residents and lake users to be vigilant and take preventative measures to avoid spreading milfoil further. Please report any sightings to the Friends Lake Property Owners Association. Thank you

How You Can Help

Membership Dues

Our membership dues are the main source of support for our volunteer led work on behalf of the lake and lake community. We encourage every household with lake rights to become a member. Membership is open to anybody wishing to join the association by paying annual dues.

Dues are $35 per year per household. Please include your lake address when paying by PayPal or in the memo of your written check.

Loon Clean Up Through the Weekend! Our last lake clean-up is scheduled for this week. Please choose a day and time that works best for you during the weekend to scour a section of the lake, beaches, roads, and trees along the shoreline for fishing line, hooks, and trash. As a reminder, there are four locations around the lake with fishing line recycling containers. FLPOA Golf Tournament The FLPOA invites you to join in the fun on Sunday, August 18th, at 3pm for the inaugural “NINE, WINE & DINE” golf tournament being held at Cronin’s Golf Course In Warrensburg. Teams of four will play a 9 hole best ball scramble, kicking off at 3pm with a shotgun start. Friends Lake Property Owners Association June 5, 2024 ANNUAL MEETING – The FLPOA annual meeting will be held on Saturday, July 6, at the TOWN OF CHESTER MUNICIPAL CENTER auditorium.
