Aqualogic Working on Friends Lake

Continuing the effort started last September to remove Eurasian Milfoil found in the lake, the pontoon boat pictured above will be on Friends Lake during the week of June 7. FLPOA has contracted with Aqualogic to survey the lake and hand harvest any Eurasian Milfoil they find. This is the first step in a remediation plan the FLPOA Board of Directors has approved for this summer.

Zoom Meeting on Eurasian Milfoil in Friends Lake

There will be a Zoom call on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 7 pm, for anyone interested in the efforts to address Eurasian Milfoil found in Friends Lake last summer. The call will feature Brian Greene, Program Director for the Adirondack Park Invasive Plant Program (APIPP). Brian was instrumental in implementing the rapid response methodology that was used.

The call will outline the process used last summer and the plans for continued work, which is just now beginning. After a presentation, questions will be welcomed. Please register using the button below.

2025 Annual Meeting

The FLPOA annual meeting will be held at 10 am on Saturday, July 5, at the TOWN OF CHESTER MUNICIPAL CENTER auditorium. An agenda will be provided in a subsequent email. Join Us For Coffee – 9 am There will a “getting to know your neighbor” session starting at 9 am with coffee provided. The formal meeting starts at 10 am.
