Membership in the Friends Lake Property Owners Association (FLPOA) is open to all property owners on or around Friends Lake watershed who share a commitment to protecting the natural beauty, water quality, and peaceful character of the lake. By joining, members become part of a collaborative community that values environmental stewardship, responsible lake use, and informed advocacy. Membership offers the opportunity to stay engaged through updates, events, and shared efforts to preserve the lake for current residents and future generations.
Membership Dues
Dues are $35/year per household. Dues can be paid online or through the mail by check. Alternatively, you can pay your annual dues in person at the annual meeting in July.
Membership dues play a vital role in preserving the health, safety, and enjoyment of Friends Lake for all members and future generations. These funds support a range of initiatives, including water quality monitoring, invasive species mitigation and prevention, lake programs, and community education efforts focused on environmental stewardship. Dues also help maintain communication among members, fund insurance and legal protections for the association, and support advocacy on local and state issues that affect lakefront property owners. In addition, they help sponsor social and recreational events that strengthen the sense of community around Friends Lake.
